I'm another year older today and while I look forward to 31, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year 30 was... BECAUSE IT WAS. Here are some of my favorites from the past year:
Getting Married
This has to take the cake (pun intended). My wedding was everything I dreamed about and to have Nate Cornett as my husband and life-long partner is the best decision I could've made. It also kicked off 2016 in the best way possible.
Going Blonde
30 will also be remembered as the age I dyed my hair blonde, and honestly, I may never go back. I don't know if the adage is true about blondes having more fun, but I've certainly had more confidence and comfort with my now golden roots.
Going to NYC for the Sole Purpose of Seeing a Broadway Play
Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed about a time in my life I could jet off to NYC and see the latest broadway show that had critics buzzing. In this case, it wasn't Hamilton (although that would've been amazing), but my husband and I went to NYC to see one of my favorite plays with an incredible cast, including two of our favorite actors. I'd also never experienced New York in the springtime and it's delightful.
Staying at a St. Regis Hotel
My dream day would consist of staying at a hotel, ordering room service, and reading a book all day, which is pretty much what my honeymoon was. If you ever get a chance to stay at a St. Regis-- take it! They really are the best when it comes to customer service and amenities. I did not worry about a thing the entire time I was there. Also, their showers are the best I've ever experienced.
My 30th year around the sun was wonderful and I can't wait to see what this next year brings!
*Disclosure: this is only a small sampling of my favorite things. If I listed every single one of them, I'd run out of internet.
